This hemispherical calabash is a round half calabash ideal for the fabrication of the calabash drum with cowrie shells (gita), the kora, the sokou (African violin), or the African water drum (djidunun).
It may also serve as a utility object (bowl, container, etc.) or decorative (it is an excellent base for engravings and paintings).
